It’s been a year. And what an unexpected start-up year it has been. Ton’s of lessons learned and yet to be learned.
unGeeked is a year old as of July 2011. We didn’t start off knowing there was going to be an unGeeked e’lite Retreats. But two angels named Tom Tentaglou and Mark Wadden knew better than myself, that unGeeked needed to become more than just a one time event. And they presented me with a gift and it was a very generous one indeed.

In alliance with Kaplan University, unGeeked has created a certificate in social media program. The focus is not only on creating a social media certificate program, but also on developing a program where employers and professionals can come to learn best practices, strategies and to stay abreast of the latest in this evolving field.
unGeeked is about creating and engaging an entire community, regionally, nationally and internationally of Marketing, Branding, PR, HR, Legal, Sales and Customer Service professionals, Consultants and businesses both on-line, during the 3-day retreat and after the retreat for the ultimate in discussions and information sharing. The goal is to create long lasting bonds for future collaboration on projects, create alliances on business projects and to create a growing community of unGeeked Mavens.
